Jordan D: Maureen is a gem of a human. Classic midwestern charm. Her attention to detail and hospitality are top notch. The B&B is centrally located, walking distance to Geneva Lake and downtown. The décor is antique and personal. My wife and I stayed in the room with the queen sized bed and claw foot tub. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small, and the window AC unit was on full blast. The room stayed nice and cool but there is a constant white noise. Didn't bother me, but could be an issue for some. The bathroom is gigantic. There is no shortage of hot water! Everything was very clean. We would highly recommend this B&B, especially those looking for a personal touch. We have nothing but fond memories of our stay with you In beautiful Lake Geneva. “Warm, Welcoming and Wonderful! Maureen was an exceptional host. From the moment I made the reservation and throughout our stay, we were treated like family. My husband and I (plus our dog)stayed three nights. The room was clean and the queen bed was comfortable. You can’t beat the location; just a few short blocks to the downtown area and lake. We enjoyed walking the dog in the neighborhood and looking at all the unique homes. The yard is fenced in with plenty of room for a dog to play fetch. Breakfast was superb! Homemade pastries, delicious soufflés, and the heartiest French toast you’ll ever eat. Thanks Maureen for making our trip to Lake Geneva so memorable. We’re already making plans for our next visit to your historic inn.”
Mark M: My wife and I wanted to break up the dreariness of winter in Wisconsin. Thus, we scheduled a last-moment, get-away trip to Lake Geneva that coincided with Valentine's Day. The TC Smith Historic Inn B&B intrigued us, and it was within easy walking distance of some activities (e.g. cooking school) that interested us. So, we booked a two-night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Our room was clean, quiet and nicely appointed. The innkeeper (Maureen) presented us with an Anthurium plant as a Valentine's Day gift. We were the only guests at the Inn while staying there (it was mid-week), which kept the pace of breakfast quite relaxed. We very much enjoyed chatting with Maureen over her wonderful breakfast and coffee. The guest rooms are on the second floor of the Inn. My wife and I had no difficulty navigating the stairway, but this is something that some guests might want to be aware of in advance. I don't know when we will next visit Lake Geneva, but we are sure that we won't hesitate to stay again at the TC Smith Historic Inn.
Orianna G: Me and my boyfriend stayed here over the first weekend of June and had such an awesome experience for it being our first bed and breakfast. The room was extremely cozy and Maureen made us a gourmet breakfast every morning. From the French toast to the soufflé with berries and pastries. It was delicious! The location is in a perfect area with all shops, beach and great restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again. Lidia T: I needed a weekend away after a health scare and happened to come across this Inn while searching for a place to stay in Lake Geneva. The Inn is just 4 blocks from downtown so the location is excellent. The owner, Maureen, was so very welcoming and kind! I felt relaxed as soon as I entered her inn. The bedroom I stayed in was so lovely. The bed and the pillows were so incredibly comfortable, and the linens were beautiful. I haven't slept that hard and peacefully in years! Maureen's breakfasts were delightful! Fresh fruit and then a delicious egg and veggie breakfast (or French toast if you prefer) and fresh baked yummies made by Maureen - all served on crystal and beautiful plates. The coffee was very good too along with the orange juice! All enjoyed over wonderful conversations. Maureen, much thanks to you for the fabulous respite! I'll see you again!

"This is the first time for my girlfriend and I to stay at a BNB, and we are glad we chose T. C. Smith. We both thoroughly enjoy the hospitality that Maureen provided, she is a great conversationalist who is never lost for words. Made us both feel comfortable with her as if we had know her for years. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with every amenity needed for a comfortable stay. The food was delicious and more then abundant. If you are looking for a great place to stay while in Geneva, this is the place for you.…"
"My husband and i really enjoyed our time at the inn..Maureen is a good host...meals were great and the best part of the room was the spa whirlpool and spa shower in the bathroom--very relaxing"
"My husband and I stayed at this adorable bed and breakfast for our 9 year wedding anniversary. Maureen was a pleasure to stay with and made us feel right at home. The breakfast spread was beautiful and the room was perfect. I would recommend T.C Smith's to anyone looking to getaway from it all, while being steps to downtown Lake Geneva."
"If you want a perfect little getaway off the beaten path yet close enough to walk to everything Lake Geneva has to offer, look no further. Like stepping back in time, you will be delighted as soon as you walk through the front door of this old Victorian-era inn and see the green-carpeted staircase, antique furniture, old photos, and many 'conversation pieces.' Maureen is absolutely the most comfortable innkeeper--instantly treated both myself and my little dog like family members--and she setsa scrumptious banquet of fruit and pasties before you for breakfast at the time you choose. And the rooms? WOW, I could have stayed lounging around in my beautiful room for a long time. Clean, cozy, and full of charm! LOVED the classic paintings adorning the walls and the plush warmth of the bed. Nothing is skimped here. There's even a TV in every room with VHS tapes you can borrow, and a warm non-wood burning fireplace. Nice hot water for the shower too. Sure, it may cost a bit more but this is no ordinary place to stay! Adding to the proper ambiance are her two adorable singing canaries. How perfect. Bed and breakfast experience to be remembered most fondly and enjoyed again and again if you can! Thanks Maureen, my dog and I plan to be back soon! :-)"
"The rooms were very elegant rooms with a lot of antique furniture that had rich character. I especially liked the art work that was displayed. The service was impeccable! Maureen is the nicest lady, willing to accommodate her guest needs 24/7. The value was great, to be able to stay within walking distance of the lake and all the activities that go on around in the area was so nice. We didn't have to deal with parking all we had to do was put on our shoes and go. Her rooms were very clean and kept. The dining was wonderful. Maureen just asked us what time we wanted to eat and at that time, she laid out a great spread of fresh fruit, homemade coffee cakes, coffee, juice and homemade entrées that were all warm and fresh. It was delicious!"
"Of all the wonderful assets you will find at TC Smith Historic Inn, the hostess Maureen is the best. As soon as you arrive you are welcomed like part of her family. I don't think Maureen knows a stranger and is a delight to visit with. And no better time that over one of her marvelous breakfasts. If you go away hungry it won't be her fault. The accommodations are equally as unique. Genuine antiques, original artwork and interesting bibelots in every room. The bathrooms feature jacuzzi whirlpools and a steam bath with lots of fluffy towels to pamper yourself. I have stayed here at least twice a year for the last 4 or 5 years and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Lake Geneva area. I wish I could find a Bed and Breakfast half so nice in the other places I travel. I will be back in October, Maureen. Hold that room for me."
"The T.C. Smith Historic Inn provided a great environment for me and my boyfriend for an overnight stay. The Inn is within walking distance from all the shops and the beach, and breakfast the next morning was delicious and personalized. We had a variety of fruit and an egg soufflé Our hostess was warm, kind, and great company. We stayed in a newly renovated room. I heard the other rooms were amazing too, and we hope to spend a longer time at the Inn in the near future."
"My husband and I have been staying at T. C. Smith for many years and have really enjoyed each and every stay at the Inn. Maureen has always made our twice a year visits very relaxing and comfortable for us. Maureen went way out of her way to make a visit by my sister who was extremely ill with cancer a very special occasion. My sister and I were both extremely thankful for all that she did to help Kathy during her visit to the Inn. Her care and understanding was very much appreciated by bothKathy and I. I look forward to each and every visit to T.C. Smith Inn. See you again in October Maureen can't hardly wait!"
"This was our second stay at TC Smith Historical Inn, it was wonderful, Maureen is the sweetest thing, lots of fun and so much knowledge about the area. Her cooking is the best, breakfast is always delicious and never boring. Our pet Marley loves it there, the rooms are so comfortable and the location is great. Very close to the main strip, walking distance to everything. If you decide to stay here you will be very happy. "I cannot wait to return! The private baths and size of rooms are perfect for a get away!! The time there was amazing and it was home away from home! Thank you again for the wonderful experience and I look forward to seeing you again!!!"Orianna G
